Yet another potential TALKTALK scam.. BEWARE AND BE AWARE!!! I had my laptop taken over 'remotely' by this type of caller.. I reported the incident to the ActionFraud (UKs National Fraud & Cyber Crime Reporting Centre) If you suspect any past or future phonecalls as described by other people on previous posts please report them so they can be investigated.

Had call from Indian women saying she was from Talk Talk, saying a technical assistant was standing by to help with my computer. This was a scam - telephone number was 01216729282. Today I received a call from Steven (Indian) asking the same. Informed him not to ring again his number was 01213179829.

Had a Call from this number today at 10.43 am. Same as other writers, male voice purporting to be from TalkTalk telling me that my router was going to be shut down in 24 hours by TalkTalk as it had been infected, Asked why wait 24 hours they were unable to answer, advised them that I would pass the info. to my IT unit and also contact TalkTalk myself on another line to check.............................. They hung up, I really can't imagine why!.

Another call from this number 5 mins ago, when my phone rings now I never answer it, if anyone needs me they can leave a message on voice mail, crafty beggars they now wait for the' leave a message ' request, then hang up, so now even as I don't answer the phone they are now leaving no messages on voice mail. I am ex-directory and on telephone message preference, both useless, I receive at least 5 or six calls every day.

I did not ask just told him that if I ever found out where he was I would stop him breathing. It was an Indian voice and past experiences tell me that it was purporting to be from Talktalk. I am reporting this number to talktalk and they will bar it from ALL talktalk customers phone's if they agree that it was a scam call. I suggest that any talktalk customers who receive any scam calls report direct to talktalk.
