I get a call from this number whenever I set up a new mobile banking recipient or link my mobile app to a new phone,, completely genuine call from halifax and it will only call after displaying an on screen message telling you that it is going to call, if you get an unexpected call then somebody has entered the wrong number into the app or have not updated their old number with the bank.

BEAWARE! This is a genuine automated call from the Lloyds Banking group asking you to enter a four digit code to authorise online banking. eg. when setting up your mobile app or a new online payment. HOWEVER the scammers are very devious these days and can call you from genuine phone numbers. I know this because this has happened to me. Luckily I was suspicious and was not scammed.
