Just had a call from this number, like the rest claiming to be 'Shane Williams' from Virgin Media, with a very pronounced Asian accent (yeah right), and wanting to fix the problem I reported yesterday with my internet. I have had a call from this number which I had previously blocked so it went straight to my voicemail where they did not leave a message. I had answered a similar call in the week which I promptly blocked after he started the conversation by saying "Google tells me your name is Karen?" ..... uh ...... no. Someone stop these scammers. I was only half awake so went through quite a process before I twigged - how did they know we had just had a new router fitted - it was the fact they new that which made me think it was real. Same as others experiences here. I received calls from English speaking Indian males and females saying they are calling from Virgin Media and investigating a fault with my internet broadband.
