Targeted my elderly parents with a service to prevent nuisance calls which they already get for free! They took card details,then my mum called back on a different numbr and was about to give details again but i stopped her. Have cancelled debit card incase they are fraudsters

When my father had been saying he was fed up with unwanted/nuisance phone calls he was initially pleased when he was called (out of the blue) by NCPS who offered to solve all his problems for a single cost of ?84.99! However for this cost he would have been getting no more than he is legally entitled to get for FREE through other sources. NCPS also offer their Platinum (?!) service for an extra ?35.00 up front for which they will send you a call blocker device, which is available through Amazon

This person named "Geof" phoned and stated he could stop all unwanted phone calls. He was very assuring and gave me a phone number. Needless to say I think it was bogus. unfortunatly I was silly enough to pay him a sum of money from my debit card.

My 81 year old mother was duped into giving her bank details to pay 4 instalments against an annual fee to stop nuisance calls, something that is free with the telephone preference service. We have tried calling this number to cancel the "contract" but the line is dead. Mum s bank have blocked the company, so that no further payments can be made.

Female called Lauren contacted my mother (70 s) to sell service to stop unwanted calls (ironic). Very persistent and aggressive selling manner.she used the old trick of assuming my mother wished the service and went straight for her bank details. Thankfully my mother did not pass any. Lowest form of scum these people no better than bogus callers who steal from the elderly.

I fell for this as I was sick of nuisance calls. I have a call blocker which seemed to help, but still had calls. A couple of years later or so I was told of an update to be put on a business blocker register which I stupidly paid for after a bit of a grumble. I had another call sometime after that and when I said I had already updated they quickly hung up. Today I had another call and as I complained about the ongoing updates after being told it was a one-off initially they hung up immediately.

Lauren from nuisance call prevention company ltd conned my 87 year old mother out of 84.99 to stop nuisance calls. Unfortunately mum paid with her debit card. They promised a refund but nothing forthcoming. We are now going to refer the matter to the police, trading standards, Ofcom, the Information Commissioner and BBC watchdog. These people are despicable.

The Nuisance Call Prevention Service (NCPS) gives a business address in Brighton but this is a service address shared by 91 other companies. The man behind it is called Bill Burey (full name William Richard Burey) who actually lives at 43 Montague Avenue, South Croydon (if anyone has a phone or mobile number for him that would be handy). Person called Jack Wells called my elderly parents and tried to sell them a plug in box to stop unwanted phone calls. He had the correct details for them and their address! He asked for all bank details, sort code, acc. number and a password. Luckily they are not that stupid!!

I received a call from a chap who called himself Brady, from the Nuisance Calls Prevention Service in Brighton at 6.05pm on 26th February 2015. He told me that he was aware that I was receiving a high ratio of nuisance calls and that he was going to stop them for me... all good up to this point! He then went on to say that for ?2 per month the calls would be stopped!!!! Definitely a scammer, but what worries me is that he knew my name and ex-directory telephone number.
